Mining Engineering Philosophy
Every business has a core identity. Ours is the mining industry. Wally’s entire professional life has been with and contributive to mines, including uranium, silver, gold, and industrial minerals. All of our professional staff share a dedication to the extractive industries that goes beyond the normal client-consultant relationship.
Everything begins with mining: the materials that make the modern world possible are all mined. But the chemicals, machines, and scale of disturbance associated with mining can do great and lasting harm. We don't pretend ignorance of those dangers, in fact we embrace knowledge of them as a guide to all our professional practice. It is our duty to help the mining industry do its necessary work with the minimum potential for harm.
We identify with the spirit of mining: alone and beyond the reach of help, playing by the rules of physics, explosions, and honest sweat. In the mines, science is applied on a grand scale, failure is a real possibility, and the consequences can be terrible.
The people who put their lives and fortunes on the line to test themselves against hard rock deserve an engineering company with the stomach to make the decisions and endure the hardships of this industry.
We strive to be that engineering company.
